Belsize Square Synagogue was founded in 1939 by refugees from Central Europe who came from the continental Liberal Jewish Movement.  The liturgy of the community comes from the German Liberale Judaism.  There is a vibrant religion school which meets on Sunday mornings as well as adult education, youth clubs, a youth choir, professional choir and community choir consisting of adult volunteers.
