Description of project
CONCERT OF MUSIC, SONG AND PRAYER for children of five faiths. It is to be held at the Nottingham Progressive Synagogue, Lloyd Street, Sherwood, Nottingham, on Sunday 15th November at 3.00 pm. The faiths participating are (1) Hindu, (2) Christian, (3) Sikh, (4) Muslim and (5) Jewish. The children are between the ages of 10 and 16. We welcome additional participants to join us. All are welcome to attend our concert. Our intention is to learn about other faiths and their traditions, while each of us has pride in and respect for our own faith we learn respect for other faiths and earn respect for our own.

Partner Organisation
Nottingham Inter-Faith Council is an organisation that aims to contribute to a more understanding and tolerant society by making connections between faith groups and showing the wider public the importance of the spiritual aspects of life and the contribution faith groups can make to the community. We work with nine faith communities in the area to build mutual respect and to establish community cohesion. We work together to challenge hatred and to demolish false conceptions which all too easily circulate concerning specific faith communities.
