Over the last few weeks London Jewish Cultural Centre staff, students and teachers donated an amazing array of over 100 seasonal gifts for children in hospital plus toiletries for the Separated Child Foundation.

And on the day, the LJCC had 35 people take part in activities at Ivy House on North End Road – friends and families dropped by, Habonim Dror ran activities and children from Norrice Lea cheder made their Mitzvah Day contribution learning about the conditions young people face around the world and wrapping the gifts.

There was so much that the Whittington Hospital needed a trolley from the post room to take it all up to the children’s wards.

And Mitzvah Day bunting and balloons greeted everyone all day whether they were coming for a course or enjoying an afternoon with the Royal Ballet School.
