Inter Faith

Mitzvah Day 2011 was proud to launch Inter Faith Week, encouraging all of our communities to join up with a partner of another faith and to run projects together on Mitzvah Day. Mitzvah Day 2012 will continue to support inter faith community building through A Year of Service, an initiative designed to bring communities together through 12 volunteering days across the year, each being run by a different faith group.

Faith communities all share a fundamental requirement to do good deeds and to strive to make our world a better place. We can do this together thereby achieving more and also getting to know each other better in the process. We hope that the links made on Mitzvah Day will continue to flourish afterwards into real relationships.

Mitzvah Day projects, such as Sunshine to Seniors (visiting the elderly), Plant a Tree on Mitzvah Day or Mitzvah Day Shopping (collecting food for the homeless), are a constructive way to begin an inter faith relationship, and we can help you to set up the project to make it even easier!

Please contact info@mitzvahday.org.uk to find out more or get involved!
